Kathy Wright
2020 Fellowship Award Recipient
Kathy Wright is an American born visual artist based in Sarasota, FL. With a Bachelors Degree in Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology, she went on to obtain a Masters Degree in Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.
 
Kathy has received numerous awards for her work including an Individual Artist Grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation for her Everglades Series of paintings and a Knight Neighborhood Challenge Grant from the John S. and James L. Knight foundation for sculpture. 
 
Among other honors, Wright has participated in the Art in Embassies Program of the United States Department of State, Sophia, Bulgaria and was Artist in Residence in Everglades National Park in 2008 and 2009. Most recently, she has received a 2020 Artist Fellowship from Halo Arts Project, Sarasota, Florida.
