Peter Genersich is a Vice President and Banker in the Sarasota office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Peter works with a diverse array of affluent clients, including business owners, executives and real estate professionals. He assists families with their wealth management needs, helping them grow their investments and preserve their assets for the next generation.
The son of immigrants who fled Hungary in their teens, Peter grew up in his family’s business, an invaluable experience that informs his consultative approach to learning about his clients, their families, their histories and their needs. To address the complexity of financial dreams and objectives, he surrounds them with a team of specialists to integrate lending, trust and estate planning, investing, business banking, commercial banking and more. Peter offers direct access to the thought leadership and global capabilities of the Private Bank, sharing best practices employed by similarly situated families. His keen listening skills, extensive network in the local community and proven track record in the industry make him an influential leader in expanding J.P. Morgan’s presence in the Sarasota market.
Peter has spent his 25-year career in private wealth and lending, tapping his strength in growing balance sheets in service of both individuals and companies. Most recently, he was a Vice President and Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. Previously, Peter held relationship management roles at Wells Fargo Private Bank and other leading institutions. He was attracted to J.P. Morgan for its robust platform and prestigious reputation.
Peter earned a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from the University of South Florida and a B.S.B.A. in Finance from the University of Central Florida. He attended Temesvari-Pelbart Franciscan High School in Hungary.
Involved in the community, Peter serves on the board of the Sarasota Downtown Partnership and on the Mote Marine Advisory Council. He is a member of the Sarasota Yacht Club.
Peter is a lifelong Sarasotan, and takes advantage of the climate and nature in his local habitat. He plays tennis and golf, enjoys his time with family and friends, and is an avid traveler.Â
