ARTIST STATEMENT:
I’ve always been drawn to drawing people. Because people are strange and interesting and unique. With my pencils, I attempt to capture the souls of the people I draw, the essence of each person’s individuality. Who is she? What’s his story? It can be conveyed in her glance, his posture, the tilt of their head. In how I draw his hands. Or her eyes. Their spirit on paper. And if it’s true that behind every person is a story, then I’m the lucky one. I get to be the storyteller.
